Lagos, Nigeria, 27 January, 2021: The Lagos State chapter of the Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) has held its first quarterly meeting for the year 2021.
The meeting which held at Hello Lagos Hall at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja on Tuesday saw a good number of its membership in attendance.
Lagos, Nigeria, 10th April, 2020: The Media Centre Against Child Malnutrition (MeCAM Nigeria) has urged parents and guardians to desist from any action capable of endangering their family members at this time of battle to curb Wahun-Chinese Virus also known as Coronovirus or COVID-19 in the country, especially malnourished children.
Malnourished children are those under 5 suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) largely caused by a significant imbalance between nutritional intake and individual needs, according to experts at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Nigeria currently has over 2 million children in this category.
Abuja, Nigeria, August 7, 2019: A media advocacy group with focus on curbing children malnutrition in Nigeria, under the auspices of the Media Against Child Malnutrition (MeCAM) has explained why it was established, saying that the goal is to bridge the gap in nutrition reportage.
The National Coordinator, MeCAM, Mr. Remmy Nweke in his intervention at a media roundtable on “Exclusive Breastfeeding: Changing the Nigerian story” in Abuja recently to mark the 2019 World BreastFeeding Week organized by the Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN).
